| I got this piston ring compressor for a project involving 4 inch plastic sewer & drain pipe to make a dust collection system for my wood-working shop. When the drain pipe is a little too large to slide into a fitting, I heat it to soften it a little and use the piston ring compressor to make the pipe just a little smaller. After the pipe cools it stays the smaller size and slides esily into the mating fitting. It works very well for this purpose. |
